reaper2point0John's entrance into the lobby of the hotel had garnered more looks than he'd been counting on, but then unshaven bouncer types weren't exactly typical patrons of The Sherry Netherland. After identifying himself at the desk, he'd been escorted to the suite he'd reserved for the night. A quick shower, a trim of his beard and a change of clothes had turned him from the scruffy hard-assed look he'd had the past few months into a man who'd gotten a few appreciative glances as he waited for Eve in the bar off the lobby.
A glance at his watch told him he had some time to spare before the cool looking blonde would arrive. Motioning to the bartender he ordered another drink and settled back to wait, his eyes scanning the room for any possible sign of threat. He didn't actually expect UAC agents to show up in New York in this time, but he'd managed to keep his skills sharp since he got here six months ago and he wasn't going to let down his guard anytime soon.
He'd avoided most interaction with people so far, but he knew that he wasn't the kind of man who could deal with being solitary for very long and while this could be nothing more than a one-night stand, he was definitely attracted to the gorgeous blonde. Who knows, they might even end up being friends.
